It might be hard to choose which cleaner can help you, but you can read reviews and forums on the internet to help you decide.
1. Clean laptop’s hard drive
When you have had your computer for quite a while, then surely its hard drive will be full of data. As a result, your laptop will perform slower because it will have to take more time in locating the programs and files that it needs.
If your laptop’s hard drive is full or almost full, Windows will not have the necessary space for it to run correctly. Make sure that your computer has several gigabytes free. The ideal free space is 10 gigabytes to 20 gigabytes.
If it is possible to remove all junk in your laptop, then do it to bring back your laptop’s responsiveness. You can start with files that have duplicates or files that have two copies. Duplication of data usually happens on photo or music files.
Removing such files won’t harm your computer, and you can even use a software that will help you locate those files. Once you find a free duplicate file locator, all you must do is install it on your laptop and PC and follow the instructions.
You can also make use of the built-up Windows cleaner to help you clean unwanted files. When you use it, it will only delete all the contents of your Recycle Bin and delete temporary and unnecessary files. If your laptop has Windows 10, you can search for Disk Clean-up on the search bar on the right side of the Windows Start button.
If you are using Windows 7, you can go to Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, then select System Tools and Disk Cleanup. For Windows 8, you go to Search Charm and search for Disk Clean-up. After seeing the search result, pick ‘Clear Disk Space by deleting unnecessary files.’
The program will automatically identify the files that you can remove, and it will also display the disk space that you can free up after removing those files.
However, if you are worried that you may delete some relevant data, you can click ‘View Files.’ If ever you see a file that you don’t want to be deleted on your laptop, untick the box beside the file before you continue and select ‘Clean up system files.’
Doing this method can delete unwanted files, like old Windows installations. As a result, you can empty a lot of space in your storage.

In connection to that, your laptop can have an easier time in accessing your hard drive. It will also improve your laptop’s speed.
However, if your computer has an SSD, you cannot make use of this method because it is a way different technology.
